Sending money
Adding a new Contact
Before you can send money to anyone for the first time, you'll need to add them as a contact in your Kixy app. This helps make future transfers quicker and more secure. Here's how to do it:
Open the Kixy app
Tap on Send Money from the wallets screen or Tap on Kixy It on the main screen
When prompted to Select Contact, tap the plus + sign in the bottom corner
From the Add New Contact menu, choose how to add your contact
- By Email: Enter your contact's email address. If they're a Kixy user, the app will automatically recognise their account
- By Phone Number: Input your contact's mobile number. Similar to email, the app will identfy if they're already using Kixy
- By QR Code: If you're with your contact in person, they can generate a QR code from their Kixy app for you to scan
- By Bank Account Details: You can add them using their traditional banking information
Once you've added a contact, they'll be saved to your contact list for easy access during future payments and transfers. You can manage and edit your contacts at any time.
Sending money to non-Kixy users
When sending money to someone who doesn't use Kixy, the process works similarly to a traditional bank transfer. Here's what you need to do:
